Niyi is a Registered Pharmacist and Government licenced Food and Drug Analyst in Nigeria. He is the Quality Director for GlaxoSmithKline Nigeria. Prior to his elevation to the post of Quality Director, Niyi was the Operations Manager with responsibility for the Nutritional Healthcare, Oralcare and Medicines factories at GlaxoSmithKline, Agbara, Nigeria. He has more than twenty-three (23) years experience in Pharmacy, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Product / Business Development, Operations, Project and General Management.

He obtained his first and second degrees in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical sciences respectively from the same University – The University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, South AfricaNiyi’s interest in Quality System, Risk Management System, Management Consulting, Strategic Implementation and Business Policies have been piqued by well over seventy (70) specific value-adding courses which he had been privileged to attend within and outside the country in different capacities; as the Quality Director, Superintendent Pharmacist, Quality Assurance Manager, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Business Development Manager and Operations Manager of GlaxoSmithKline Nigeria Plc; amongst others.

He enjoys applying the various skills acquired to the effective management and implementation of strategies that ensure compliance of processes and products on site to requisite regulatory, cGMP, GSK Quality Management Systems and Guidelines, this being one of the numerous routine tasks he performs.He is an active member of various professional bodies’ working at assuring quality of food and drugs in Nigeria and beyond. Among them are: The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), The American Chemical Society (ACS), The Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (AIPN), The Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN) <independent official body that is legally recognised to make pronouncement on quality of Food, Cosmetics and Drugs in Nigeria) and The Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He is the company’s accredited preceptor for the one year mandatory post qualification internship programme for pharmacists.

This is in addition to his appointment by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) as a resource person for the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme in the last five years.For the records, Niyi has equally won many Laurels over the years for his outstanding performances.
